Automated assistant disclosure
Last updated 2 September 2026.
Callkept conversations are handled by an automated assistant. This page sets out what that means and the exact language used.
How the assistant introduces itself
The first message always reads, in substance: "Hi, this is [Business Name]'s automated assistant. Sorry we missed your call — what can we help you with?" It never claims to be a named employee or a person.
What it will and won't do
- It asks what you need, your postcode, and whether it's urgent; it offers appointment times or a callback.
- It answers questions only from information the business has confirmed. If it doesn't know, it says so and passes the question to the business.
- It does not give safety, medical or technical advice. If you mention a gas smell or carbon monoxide alarm it will direct you to the National Gas Emergency line (0800 111 999) and flag your enquiry as urgent.
- Reply STOP at any time to end messages. Any message is passed to the business, who may call you.
Your data
Your messages are processed on behalf of the business you contacted and retained for a limited period (90 days by default). See the business's own privacy notice and our privacy policy.
